In all my work, I draw from my deep and extensive experience living and working at the intersections of social change, trauma resiliency and education. Over the last twenty-five years, I have coordinated Indigenous-led land-based learning programs, worked with youth involved in the justice system, delivered sexual assault prevention education, taught as a social work instructor, taught neurodiverse children in outdoor school, facilitated transformative youth leadership programs, supported community development in rural Guatemala, taught literacy to newly arrived refugee children and advocated for disarmament alongside landmine survivors. I am deeply grateful for, humbled by, and feel accountable to, each person who has shared their story with me.
